Description
Salvia Apiana or White Sage is a strong, perennial, and ornamental plant that can reach a height of up to 90 cm. Its leaves are silvery and the flowers are shades of white, blooming from June to late autumn, attracting butterflies and bees. It is of particular importance because of its highly effective purifying energies.
This evergreen shrub is also used in the kitchen, being a good seasoning for cooking, but it is also very effective as a medicine, thanks to its antibacterial, antispasmodic, and antiseptic properties. White sage was used by Druids, Celts, and Amerindian tribes for protection, healing, and enlightenment. It is also known as California white sage.
